The good news is that one of the people going with me owns this E30. It’s had an M52 swapped into it, pretty sure he’s also a car guy. Looks like I’m about to make a new friend.

That’s nice and all, but are we going to sit here and ignore a Mineral Grey F32 M-Sport?

I’d say that’s a lock. M52 is a good choice for reliability and some fun in that lighter body.

Let him know I’m triggered because he blacked out his kidneys.

Don’t like blacked out kidneys?

No, just cause it’s a 6MT. There’s also a manual E91 in the parking lot.

Yeah, going to see if I can drive it. Bribe him with a drive of the M3.

I’ll take the E91 pls.
I don’t care for any manual F30/F32 that isn’t a 316i/318i.

I’m sure it would be a fun ride if it’s a manual. Auto, not so much...

It’s a stick.

It depends on the chassis. Basically if the headlights are a part of the grill then I think the kidney surrounds should stay chrome. But if they are a separate housing and there is body color breaking everything up then blacked out is ok.
So pretty much the e30 and everything prior to it should have the chrome kidney surrounds. Anything post e30 can be chrome or totally black.

You are in the land of the BMW’s. Mainly X’s, but still.

Yeah there seems to be a lot of them here, both X models and regular BMWs. Saw this manual E60 M5 last night.
